Eli Parks, a junior at East Ridge High School, was invited to compete in the Lockheed Martin Science Challenge at the Orlando Science Center, where he showcased his project, "Chemically Engineering the Microstructure of Concrete. " That project won first place in the 2026 Lake County Secondary Regional Science Fair in February.
Now, the project has won first place in the Senior Division for Environmental Engineering at the Lockheed Martin Science Challenge!
Next stop: The Florida State Science and Engineering Fair in Lakeland on March 31 through April 2.
