Does the school have a registered nurse on campus?
Yes, we do have a nurse on campus that looks after the clinic. When our nurse is not on campus we do have trained staff that may also assistant students in the clinic.
Can I bring my child/children lunch?
Restaurant food isn’t allowed in the cafeteria. Therefore, students have to eat lunch from outside vendors in the front office which students usually aren’t happy to do and they end up leaving the food in the office until the end of the day.

Why is my student being charged every time he or she received an ID replacement?
Every student is given one student ID their freshmen year and will receive one each year from Cady Studios if they take their class picture each year. Those ID’s they are to be used throughout their 4 years at East Ridge. If an ID has to printed for them at the school because they left it at home, in the car, or misplaced, they will be charged $5 fee and $1 for the lanyard. If they do not have the fee they will be placed on the student fine list.
How can I pay for my child’s fines, dues, lab fees, etc.?
Your child can pay cash to Ms. Antmann in guidance express during his/her lunch period. Or, go online to the ERHS website and pay with a credit card if the account has been set up. NO CHECKS are accepted.
How much are class dues, and what are they used for?
The students have class dues every school year.
9th - $20
10th - $20
11th - $15
12th - $10
The money goes into their class account (C/O 2020 etc.) and moves up with them every year. It helps pay for events for their class. The majority of it is used to pay for graduation their senior year.
Do I have to come in the school to sign my child in who has arrived late?
No, your child can go to attendance on his/her own to check in .
What is the procedure for student drivers that have to leave campus early?
Regardless of your age, meaning if you are 18 or not, parents need to fax a note giving them permission to leave with the date and time and signature plus a copy of their driver’s license. Fax 352.394.0200. Student may also present a note with a copy of their parent’s license when they arrive at school.
What’s the latest I can check out my child from school?
2 pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. 1 pm on Wednesday.
What are pre-arranged absences used for?
Medical, Dental, Legal, sickness, or death in the immediate family. All other reasons are covered with a parent note
How many notes per 9 weeks are accepted?
2 parent notes per 9 weeks.. all other absences need a dr’s note or remain unexcused
How does attendance affect a student’s driver’s license?
- Step 1-10 or more unexcused absences in 90 calendar days-warning
- Step 2-15 or more unexcused absences in 90 calendar days or student’s with a dropout withdrawal code
- Step 3-student record is transmitted to DMV
- After 30 days of compliance a student may request a compliance reinstatement form.
How can I get a transcript?
You need to come in and pay $2.oo cash only per transcript.
How can I get a transcript if I live out of state or other county and can’t come in?
You must mail a note stating where you want your transcript mailed to, copy of id, and $2.00 MONEY ORDER.
Can someone else come in and get it for me?
You will need to provide that person a copy of your id and a letter stating that you give ERHS permission to give your transcript to them. Plus the $2.00.
Can ERHS send transcripts electronically?
We can only send to certain colleges and only in state. Please call office for further details.
